good product, bad name Feb 26, 2009 4:51 pm

first let me say that this product is a very VERY good idea, and everyone interested in being prepared should get one, as it is a GREAT way to start, however you should not be fooled. this item does NOT contain enough supplies for 72 hours. you need 1,200 calories a day MINIMUM to stay alert, and to stay hydrated you need a bare minimum of 2 liters of water a day, more if you're moving around or sweating a lot. this kit only contains ONE 2,400 Calorie bar enough food for 2 days, and when you do the math, the water pouches only come out to about 4.4 liters, again only enough for 2 days. so first let me reiterate that this is a great product, but once again, do not be fooled by the name, this is more of a 48 hour kit.

I love this kit because it keeps your hands free....I have smaller children and this kit would allow me to hold them.
